How do I set up artwork for roll labels?

- Size: make the artwork the same size as the label you're ordering, plus bleed. A file that's too small won't print correctly.
- Bleed and safety: 0.125" past the cut line for bleed, and keep important elements 0.125" inside it.
- Vector is best: design in Illustrator or a similar program and save as PDF or EPS, with fonts outlined or embedded. Images should be at least 300 dpi.
- Black text: use 100% K only for black. Any text 9pt or smaller must be 100% K so it stays sharp.
- Barcodes and QR codes: 100% K only, vector if possible, so they scan reliably.
Roll label templates are different from other products, so download the one for your size and shape from the product page.
